Who we are

Launch Bonus Portal ("we", "us") provides preorder bonus claim portals on behalf of authors, publishers, and book launch teams. Each campaign portal is operated by the author or publisher who licensed it ("Campaign Owner"). We process claim submissions on their behalf.

Information we collect

When you submit a claim, we collect:

• Your first and last name
• Your email address
• The retailer where you preordered and (optionally) your order number
• The receipt, order confirmation, or screenshot you upload
• Basic technical data (IP address, browser type, timestamps) needed to operate the portal and prevent abuse

When you create a reader account to access bonuses, we also store your authentication credentials managed by our authentication provider.

How we use your information

• To verify your preorder and grant access to the bonus content you claimed
• To communicate with you about your claim status, bonus access, and the book launch
• To detect, prevent, and investigate fraudulent or duplicate claims
• To improve, secure, and operate the portal
• To comply with legal obligations

How your receipt is stored

Your receipt file is stored privately in encrypted cloud storage and is accessible only to the Campaign Owner, their authorized claim reviewers, and Launch Bonus Portal staff who provide support. Receipts are never published, sold, or shared with retailers, advertisers, or unrelated third parties.

You may obscure unrelated personal information on your receipt before uploading, as long as the retailer name, book title, and order confirmation remain visible.

Who we share information with

• Campaign Owner: The author or publisher operating the campaign you submitted to, and any team members they authorize to review claims.
• Service providers: Hosting, database, file storage, authentication, email delivery, and analytics vendors that operate the portal on our behalf, under confidentiality and data protection terms.
• Legal: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Launch Bonus Portal, the Campaign Owner, or other users.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We retain claim submissions and receipts for the duration of the bonus campaign plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention. When a claim is deleted, the associated receipt file is also removed from storage.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email the campaign team using the contact address listed on the campaign portal, or contact us at privacy@launchbonusportal.com.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and audited cloud infrastructure to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data.

Children

Launch Bonus Portal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
